The Facility Technician - Mechanic supports LTPR MRO operation as a facility technician with responsibilities in the areas of preventive maintenance, equipment installation, repairs and capital improvements projects for the Facilities Department (FD).
The Facility Technician Mechanic responsibilities' include but are not limited to : inspect the conditions and perform maintenance activities for the MRO facilities and equipment;
inspect the conditions, operation and performance of HVAC, utility systems and mechanical equipment in general; work with the FD to develop, implement and improve the Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP);
execute the PMP as scheduled for the facilities and equipment; document maintenance tasks following the established LTPR procedures;
revise and improve the PMP as required for LTPR's operation; support LTPR project team during the construction phase; support LTPR project team in the installation, start-
up and commissioning of the facilities and equipment; perform mechanical and electrical works such as motors replacements, piping, valves installations wiring of equipment and systems as required by the facilities operation;
organization and maintenance of the facility shop; control and maintain the Building Management System (BMS); maintain the working areas clean during and after completing assigned tasks; among other tasks.
High school diploma
Minimum 6-8 years of experience in the field
Technical degree or equivalent experience in the field.
Fully bilingual in Spanish and English.
Experience with the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC systems :
Air handling units (AHU)
Vacuum and dust collectors
Exhaust and supply fans
Potable water treatment systems
Experienced with general mechanical equipment and systems :
Fire protection and alarms
Installation of piping, valves and related devices or accessories
Ability to read and interpret construction, mechanical and electrical drawings.
Refrigeration technician with license
