Job Summary

The Auto Credit Officer evaluates and performs credit decisions of auto loans potential clients. These applications may come from auto dealers, bank branches and other related areas.

Through his / her duties the Auto Credit Officer guarantees the fulfillment of decisions with the parameters and policies established by the Bank and Federal and State laws.

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Evaluates and analyzes Auto Financing Credit applications for retail and leasing potential clients.
  • Decide the approval or denial of auto loan credit applications in accordance to credit guidelines and policies established by the corporation.
  • Assures the fulfilling of all established credit policies and parameters thought the credit application process by means of evaluation of credit reports, customer profiles, dealer negotiations, collaterals quality and performs demographic analysis.
  • Assists internal and external customers with their financial or business needs and loan structure. Performs client’s interviews when needed.
  • Submit business results MIS for management on a daily or monthly basis.
  • Prepares dealer production and performance reports as requested.
  • Contributes to the development of Floor Plan Dealers business relationship.

  • Supervision responsibilities

    This position has some direct supervision responsibilities helping the Auto Credit Manager with supervisory responsibilities as :

  • May assists Senior Credit Officers and Credit Manager as a Team Leader on the daily operations.
  • Limited supervision of Credit Officers.
  • Degree of Judgment

    The degree of judgment is related to continuous analysis of specialized and complex subjects.

    Employee on this job is exposed to varying weather conditions when visiting clients.

    Minimum Requirements

    Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with two to 3 to 5 years of experience in consumer credit analyst, preferable in the automobile industry.

    Also, is preferable but not compulsory, a Credit Analyst Certification and Financial Statement Analysis courses.The position requires having automobile in good conditions and valid license in P.

    R.Available to work on weekends, holydays and extended hours.
