Experience working with elementary aged children preferred.Civil Service Testing : This position is a temporary position and is not a Civil Service position.
There is no civil service testing for this position.

Example of Essential Duties :
educate patrons about facility rules and regulations.Complete written accident reports, incident reports and any other reports as needed.
Identify hazards and immediate risks that might compromise the safety of patrons.Provide general cleaning and maintenance of the pool facilities.
remain current on safety practices and procedures by attending meetings, training and safety programs.Assist in teaching swimming lessons following Swim Lesson's University protocol as requested.
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required and other duties which may be assigned.Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience working with elementary aged children preferred.Licenses and CertificationsMust possess a valid Red Cross CPR / AED for the Professional Rescuer Certificate.
Must possess a valid Red Cross Lifeguard / First Aid Certificate.Must possess a Red Cross Waterfront Certification for Marina Lifeguards.
Knowledge ofReading, writing, basic math.Lifeguard surveillance and rescue techniques.Knowledge of facility characteristics, rules, policies and procedures.
