Oversee daily operations related to Supply Chain management to ensure goals are achieved by supporting the development, adoption and execution of best in class processes which in turn help to support the business objectives of the affiliate.
The role involves enhancing and developing new ways to improve business operations which includes Forecast Demand Planning, Distribution, Customer Service Initiatives and Trade Sales Operations.
This role will lead and execute transversally across the teams and provide direction and counsel to the Leadership Team in the development of processes, plans and programs that support the overall mission of Puerto Rico.
Lead the management of sales demand, inventory management and distribution for currently marketed products, new product launches and life-
cycle management projects within the Sanofi Puerto Rico organization while optimizing inventory, asset management, safety stock management with a goal to ensure 100% Customer Service.
Ability to exert influence and drive results across functions is necessary for successful tactical and project activities.
Acting as a liaison, interacting, facilitating and networking between all levels of management, across multiple organizations / functions, (NA Distribution and Supply Chain and Commercial Operations).
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Operations staff including Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Distribution, Customer Service, Project Analyst and Contract Administration in the design, execution and measurements to maximize operational efficiencies.
Lead the development and approval of operational forecasts with sales, marketing, finance and market access teams that more closely reflect recent or potential market demand trends.
Manage third Party Logistics contract for Inventory Management and Distribution with in Puerto Rico for Trade Sales (Pharma and OTC business) and Sample products based on quality agreement and proper inventory management policies.
Lead local Trade Customer Service team to assure compliance with Sanofi’s policies and procedures for order processing, reverse logistics, material management and invoicing with in SAP.
Work with the US Sample Administration Team and the Field Force Administration Team in order to ensure compliance with the Sample Compliance Manual product distribution and Call Visit reporting tool updates.
Assure proper Field Force alignment based on information provided by Sales and the Leadership Team.
Acts as a liaison, interact, facilitate and network between all levels of management, across multiple organizations / functions, both domestic and foreign, for assigned products to drive demand management for products within defined scope.
Coach and mentor team members (1 direct report) with regards to current performance and future development; stretch individual team members to achieve outside their comfort zone;
motivate team to achieve challenging objectives while fostering a high degree of team satisfaction.

4 year degree from and accredited university
7 to 10 Years of experience Operations / Inventory Management / Demand Planning Management / Customer Service
Ability to travel to third party distribution center, Sanofi Corporate office in Bridgewater, NJ and other travel as required up to 15% of time
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE
Solid understanding of the commercial drug supply chain management and distribution.
Understanding of finances and processes and ability to apply to demand management and changes and improvement projects.
Experience with product supply and life-cycle planning
Basic knowledge of regulatory processes and requirements
Expertise in project management tools including software solutions
Skilled in scenario planning, risk / benefit analysis, contingency planning and problem solving
Strong management and leadership potential
Strong willingness to drive change as well as good internal marketing and communication skills
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Ability to motivate and influence resources that do not report directly to incumbent.
Excellent numeric, systems (especially SAP Business Warehouse,) and project management skills and basic understanding of financial function.
Read and speak a foreign language, English
